We can say that Sony delivers good and bad news on this day. The good news was the Android 4.0 ICS update. Not too long ago, Sony promised an update for Xperia phones in 2011 at ICS as soon as possible.
They had a similar release and Xperia Arc S, V and Xperia Neo Ray, pretty soon if I’m not wrong. Sony reminds us that this is a beta ROM, without guarantees that it will not brick your phone or that you will not lose any data. You have to unlock the bootloader on Xperia Play before you install software using the Sony provided as zip archives.

Sony could release a new Android phone, this time with a dual core Qualcomm S4 this summer, according to sources close to the company. It’s about a high end device with 4G LTE support, better battery life and high performance comparing with the old models from Sony which used a S3 CPU.
This “ultraphone” could be the one identified a few weeks ago under the code name LT29i or Hayabusa. The phone would come with a 720p screen, 12 megapixel camera and there is the possibility that this model is intended only Asian market, namely Japan and South Korea.
