Yesterday started Google I/O 2012, the most important event this summer for Android fans, both in terms of launching new applications and due to debut Android Jelly Bean. Studies conducted by a joint team of researchers from Microsoft and Purdue University have found that up to 75% of energy consumed to run an application is used to display advertising, dwarfing all the main application function.

Sony is preparing an Android phone with Qualcomm S4 CPU for June

Sony could release a new Android phone, this time with a dual core Qualcomm S4 this summer, according to sources close to the company. It’s about a high end device with 4G LTE support, better battery life and high performance comparing with the old models from Sony which used a S3 CPU. This “ultraphone” could be the one identified a few weeks ago under the code name LT29i or Hayabusa. The phone would come with a 720p screen, 12 megapixel camera and there is the possibility that this model is intended only Asian market, namely Japan and South Korea.
