    • ]]>     Tablets have become tools of entertainment increasingly popular among users, especially after the success of the iPhone and iPad 2, but after Google entered in this market with its powerful Android operating system, other manufacturers are offering the opportunity to fight with Apple.

    Microsoft felt that the tablets will play an important role in the IT industry in the coming years, which is why Windows 7 operating system designed for PC was eventually ported for tablets, and the next step is Windows 8, which will be optimized both for PC and for tablets.

    Unlike Android, Windows 7 did not receive attention from the manufacturers of tablets, which is why Microsoft tablets can be counted on the fingers of one hand.

    One explanation is that Windows 7 runs only on x86 hardware platform developed by Intel and AMD, while the rival tablets relies on AMR optimized for such gadgets.

    Windows 7 on the tablet is used in exactly the same way as the desktop version, except that you can use the touchscreen display instead of the keyboard. The good part is that almost all tablets with Windows 7 come with attachable physical keyboard, which can turn the tablet in notebook and work on it in the same way as a PC or laptop.

    One of the problems with Android or iOS tablets is that you can not use typical Windows applications. Whether we talking about Microsoft Office suite or Adobe Photoshop, tablets with Windows 7 allow you to continue your work on these devices wherever you are.

Thanks God that I have my websites backup ed Online. I bought new Hard Disk which was yet to be partitioned, So I was searching for a solution by which I can Partition the Hard Disk with out switching off the Computer or even restarting my Windows Vista, and then formatting it using Disk Manager. I did a little searching and found that it can be done quite easily I mean with in few steps while using Windows Vista, here is what I did.

    • Right Click on My Computer and then select Manage.

    • Right Click on the Drive Which you want to be partitioned. And then select Shrink Volume.

    • Now write capacity in MB for the partition.

    • After that windows will format the newly partitioned drive. (Formatting will take some time so be patient).

Softwares are called solutions for computing problems, but I don’t know how to name IE6, since it is a problem more than a solution. It has a long history of bugs but despite its poor performance till the date it occupies a large part of browsers market.
    Apart from box model problems, there is PNG transparency handling issue with IE6. Developers have to write there own hacks to overcome this problem.
    If you are designing/developing a WordPress theme that would use transparent PNGs, you might run in to trouble with IE6. But fortunately there is a simple solution for this problem. There is a plugin name WP-UnitPNGfix which after activation, fix the PNG problem in IE6 for your blog regardless which theme you use.

    I use a lot of transparent PNGs in my current blog theme, means trouble for me in IE6 but this plugin worked like a charm for me. Despite its compatibility till WordPress 2.6, it can work fine with 2.7 as well. You can download this plugin here. Unzip and upload it to your wp-content/plugins folder and activate it from ‘Plugins’ in your dashboard. No more changes you have to do in CSS nor PHP files. Please note if you are considering your theme for public release & it has this issue, you must provide some manual solution along theme files. Google for “IE PNG fix“, and you will find many manual workarounds.

First you have to patch it in order to apply new visual styles or themes. Though softwares like WindowsBlind & StyleXP enable the users to apply new theme without any patching but the problem is these softwares are not totally free. For patching Windows there is a tool used, called Uxtheme Patcher. Recently I had problem patching my Windows Xp Sp3, i came to know that patch I had, was for Windows Xp SP2. Today I searched and found a newer version of Uxtheme Patcher for SP3. It can be freely downloaded here.
    Installation is simple like any other windows application. During installation windows will display a Windows file protection error, just cancel it. Restart your system and apply new visual styles now without any problem.

    Anyway, if you are caught in such a situation you don’t need to worry thanks to Remote Desktop Sharing. You don’t need to come from New York to Bangkok to fix your friend’s minor computer problem. Off course you can’t cure his hardware or OS boot problems. There are number of applications for desktop sharing, even modern day operating systems like Windows, Mac & Linux have this capability built in with core OS programs. Generally these built in programs are a bit difficult to configure. Personally I prefer 3rd party programs like Crossloop & Teamviewer for this purpose. These two programs have give the use ease of accessing other PC remotely without any messy configuration. TeamViewer has a plus point for remote sharing from a Windows PC to Mac & It has an option of using a portable version without even installing it. On the other hand I personally feel CrossLoop is a lot more faster than TeamViewer. These programs can be downloaded from their respective sites.
