Lenovo IdeaCentre Q180 could be the world’s smallest desktop
A desktop as an external optical drive? So it seems. Lenovo Q180 is a modular PC built around an Intel Atom new processor D2700 dual core.
With the size of a book, it allows the attachment of external drives via a USB connection. The gadget supports up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM and can be ordered with a 750 GB HDD or 128 GB SSD. Lenovo also allows the incorporation of dedicated video cards AMD Radeon HD 6450 with 512 MB RAM and DirectX 11 compatible.
Do not expect good performance in games, but Blu-ray can be viewed without problems on such a system.
Lenovo Q180 should be the smallest desktop PC in the world, with dimensions of 155x192x22 mm. The optical drive doubles the thickness, but is optional. The feeder is not included, but we not expect at a brick.
The connectivity is provided by four USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, VGA video outputs and HDMI. Has integrated wireless network card and a card reader. Overseas, Lenovo Q180 costs $370 with no optical drive and 2 GB RAM. We do not know yet whether will come on international markets.
