Motorola MILESTONE 2 Review:
It has become a global trend amongst all mobile phone vendors to create a hype before the publish their phone in the market. They pull several marketing stunts, such as accidently post an image of phone at some website, or publish images and some specifications in some magazine, which sometimes no one has heard about. In some cases, they will demonstrate their upcoming phone at some seminar. iPhone 4 had been lucky enough to get really vast hype, their developer actually lost his iPhone in a bar, which was later found by some guy in the bar, who later sold it to techcrunch.
This news made a great story at techcrunch and soon it was wild spread across blogs and news, which automatically created a huge buzz. However, when it comes to Motorola phones, we have seen they have been mild in their marketing. Recently, they announced their new upcoming gadget Motorola Milestone 2, which is a sequel to their previous version MILESTONE. The best thing about Motorola phones is, that they always manage to choose picky names, whic are brandable and easy to pronounce.
MileStone 2 Specifications:
While the phone is massive as it has huge 116.3 x 60.5 x 13.7 mm dimensions and weight of 169 grams, yet it still manage to look sleek and cuddly. Just like most of the high end up coming mobile handsets, this phone also got both 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G (HSDPA 1900 / 2100). So it got the wider coverage and adoptability. Even though, the 4G technology is in the market, but as its not wide spread, i would like to think, we can still rely on 2G and 3G mobiles, as it shall take a little while before new technology is widespread.
Milestone 2, as mentioned above in this review, was announced earlier in September, 2010 and it is expected to be released to general public by the end of 4th quarter, which i assume going to be around Christmas or new year, when people like to spend money, its a nice move by Motorola as it shall help them spike up their sales. Since it just got announced by Motorola Mobiles, we have yet to be affirmitive of price, however, the speculations are it shall cost around $500 USD to $650 USD, you can convert the currency into your local currency to get the fair idea of how much it shall cost in your country, remember, the price can vary from country to country, check out with your local retailer.
