Creating Hard Disk Partition Using Windows Vista
Because of Hard Disk crashed last week, I lost all of my important data. Thanks God that I have my websites backup ed Online. I bought new Hard Disk which was yet to be partitioned, So I was searching for a solution by which I can Partition the Hard Disk with out switching off the Computer or even restarting my Windows Vista, and then formatting it using Disk Manager. I did a little searching and found that it can be done quite easily I mean with in few steps while using Windows Vista, here is what I did.
- Right Click on My Computer and then select Manage.
- Click on Disk Management
- Right Click on the Drive Which you want to be partitioned. And then select Shrink Volume.
- Now write capacity in MB for the partition.
- After that windows will format the newly partitioned drive. (Formatting will take some time so be patient).
Thats All!
